Vector Art + Modern Dance = Beautiful.
This animated short film by Falminguettes starts in an abandoned warehouse with a sterile feel. But the bright lights make it seem clean and warm. When all of a sudden, a hoop appears, and a soothing electric sound begins to play. While the hoop floats freely it creates different shapes. A women arrears and begins to move with the hoop effortlessly. The lines seem as though they are pieces of string guiding the hoop and its dancer.
She moves with the hoop as if it’s guiding and controlling her movements. She begins to move to the sound of the music which has become faster. The lines look like the have become a part of her, like she is a puppet on strings.
The woman becomes someone else, which I didn’t notice the first few times I watched the video. She flows with the hoop as the first women did, not missing a beat. The colours and the graphics bring the film to life. The music works so well with film. As I watch this film I see, ballerina, gymnast, and athlete. And before you know it, she’s gone, but the lines, colours, and the hoop remain. I really enjoyed watching it over and over. Beautiful

A hula hoop floats amidst a stunning location of México city. As it moves, a dancer appears and plays with the hoop. Every movement creates lines, impressive shapes and lights that float in the space as if being drawn to gradually create an impressive sculpture in movement.
