[Read more…] about Bridgerton Barbie – by NFT NatIt’s important to remember that culture is built by people. Artists, designers and creators used their own human experiences to shape the world as it is today. These collective expressions were inspired by other aspects of humanity. There is no formula for it. You cannot calculate it. It comes from a place within the subconscious that AI simply don’t have.
This piece was prompted by a need to make something that a machine could never come up with. Designed in a horizontal format with manually animated components.
[Read more…] about Machines don’t dreamFor eighteen years, I’ve turned my passion for vector art into a love letter for digital artists around the world. That journey continues. Do I like vector art? Nope. I love it.
I wish that I had the time to fully capture the progression of this brand and artistic persona. Unfortunately, I have to stay in the present. The story about the first 10 years can be found here. The eight that followed after that are some of the most formative in my life. So without getting sentimental, I gathered up…
In no particular order here are some moments. If you support my art and the continuation of this artistic journey, please show it by liking or sharing any of these posts.

[Read more…] about Pomegranate Champagne – digital artwork by NFT NatThe recent influx of AI (artificial Intelligence) generated art has had a profound effect on me. For 30 years, my digital art has allowed me to stand out. For customers and clients, my work was considered nothing short of magic. Now with AI, anyone can download a magic wand – and abracadabra – become a digital artist instantly.
No, this is not a phase or a trend. And no, AI is not just another tool. It is a shift in the art world as we know it. Don’t believe me? Check back in on this post a year from now and you tell me. It’s already challenging enough to stand out in the NFT community. Now we have to compete against the combined recorded art history of mankind. Humans don’t make this “art”. Robots do. Human’s merely describe a request and accept credit for it’s creation. That’s not art. That’s art direction.
And who is ushering in this new age? People. The ones that either can’t tell the difference or don’t care to. I have even observed talented artists use AI to up their volume and quality. Don’t fool yourself, that’s not you. It’s about as akin to art as ordering take out. Quick and tasty. But let’s face it, you did not cook it up. A chef did. One with access to an infinite cookbook. Recipes concocted from chefs of the past. AI allows you to stand on the shoulders of giants. Instantly. Something about that is wrong.
I often hear AI described as “just another tool”. It’s not. Photoshop is a tool. A paintbrush is a tool. This tool is using us.
The question is, do you have what it takes to make it on your own? Do you even want to? AI generated art is cheating.
Agree? Disagree? Put it in the comments. Let’s discuss it like civilized human beings.
