Translated “Smart Park”

2020 had it’s moments. This commercial being one of them.
Filmed in the South End of Boston, it opens with Sudbury-bred movie star Chris Evans greeting Rachel Dratch, a Lexington native and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member, as they watch a driver and passenger fail to park in a narrow parking spot.
John Krasinski pulls up to showcase the new Smart Park Technology on the new Hyundai Sonata to do the seemingly impossible. He amazes his friends, along with Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz.

Every time I watch this spot I smile.

This EV-1K/56 is designed by the principal designer of Katalis, Julian Palapa, an architect by discipline and enhanced with powerful graphic elements of M56, taking the future of mobility to be transformed into a work of art, worthy of museum display.

I’m not sure which I love more, the stunning minimal design of the body or the striking vector graphic design that covers it. Whatever it is, I want to sit on this environmentally-friendly work of motorcycle art.

Lenticular printing is a specialized image process that uses bevelled lenses to create the illusion of depth or motion. Although the original process dates back to 1896, this process has come a long way.

New Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar Teasers (Video)

The Walt Disney Company revealed a massive slate of new projects from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and more on its platform Disney Plus as well. While other large entertainment brands are fumbling to adapt, Disney drops a long list of movies all of us would like to see right now. This creates something that most content providers struggle with – anticipation.

A look back at the UI design of Oblivion

We love the vast array of art direction that goes into a film like Oblivion. Especially the User Interface Design (UI) by GMUNK. Projected onto selected surfaces in real time so that the stunning lighting design could interact with it. Hawaiian mountain cloudscapes were projected around the set creating a never before seen effect. Better than CGI – Real.

Oblivion takes place in 2077, on an Earth devastated by war with extraterrestrials that has caused humanity to relocate itself to Titan. The film follows the story of Jack Harper, a technician who has been sent back to Earth to service drones used in the fight against remaining extraterrestrials (scavengers).
