Toronto, Ontario –
Corona has always been a “brand with one foot in the sand” (I just made that up). Toronto design studio Shikatani Lacroix has done an excellent job creating 9 limited edition bottles that capture that spirit with colourful vector illustrations.
“Now thats a wrap! To promote Corona Extras spring campaign, Find your beach, Modelo Molson Imports commissioned Shikatani Lacroix to create nine Collectors Edition bottle designs, each one a collage of relaxation related imagery such as mountains, lakes, beaches and cottage country.
The objective of the campaign is to help consumers find their happy place, wherever and whatever that may be. The designs reflect Coronas personality as an approachable, confident, smart, timeless, easy going and fun loving premium quality brand.
The colourful images are shrink wrapped on the glass bottles. Since the neck of the bottle is all that is visible in the 6-pack carrier, creative design elements were added to the carrier and to the neck of the bottles to help add excitement and interest.
The packaging design has been so well received it has already won a 2011 PAC Packaging Competition Award.”

If you love music, mud and Mother Nature youre probably heading to a camp site at some point this summer. But why take shelter in some dull, conventional tent when you can recreate the Summer of Love in the hippie-tastic VW Camper Van Tent.
Officially licensed, this stunning four-man (or lady, natch) tent is a luxe, full-size replica of the iconic 1965 VW Camper Van synonymous with 60s counterculture. Its so evocative you can almost hear the Mamas and the Papas singing California Dreamin every time you feast your eyes on its beautifully breadloaf-ish form. Indeed we half expected Mama Cass to tumble out when we first saw this groovy Vee-Dub. Youll be the envy of the campsite!
– Santiago, Chile
Great design comes in small packages it seems these days. For instance, this diabolically clever direct mail piece from DDB, Santiago, Chile.
ADT wanted to drop off a little message for condo owners who felt as though they were quite secure. POP! A reality check comes special delivery complete with a DVD to tell you otherwise.
I don’t say this often, but – “Heavens to mergatroid, this is sheer genius”.
“When not held flat, the boxes pop open to a cube, allowing them to be inserted under doors to lie in wait for the returning home owner. The owner sees the terrifying site of something that has gotten inside your home without your consent. To compound the brief moment of horror, it bears the slogan Breaking into your apartment is easier than you think next to the ADT logo.”
