"Paper Punk" – Paper Building Blocks with Vector papercraft

June 17, 2011 by Adam Jarvis 1 Comment

Thanks for checking out my project. With your help I would like to make this idea come to life and get loads of people making Paper Punks.
Paper Punk is a system of paper blocks that allow you to create spectacular looking paper toys and art forms with a few simple folds. Consider Paper Punk as building blocks for your imagination. It’s easy to use (everything you need is included) and very educational (spatial and dimensional thinking, motor skills, math, science, etc.) What I love most about Paper Punk is that it’s BEAUTIFUL and FUN.
Learn more here.
Love this idea.

origami holiday card YIU Studio holiday card

“A multi-piece card consisting of 3 outer boxes and an origami fortune teller in the middle. I designed, illustrated, wrote copy and letterpressed the end result. Was sent out as a studio promotional piece as well as a New Year’s card. Really needs to be seen in person to appreciate.”

Papercraft Batmobile

July 27, 2008 by Adam Jarvis 2 Comments

I don’t know if any of you heard, but there’s an itty bitty low-budget movie about some sort of winged superhero that just hit theaters this week, and maybe at least a few of you managed to go and see it. Sure, The Dark Knight may be getting Oscar-worthy reviews and raking in record box office, but why (minor spoiler ahead) did the Joker have to go and destroy the Tumbler? Why’d he have to go and do Bruce like that and take away the man’s wheels?

Now you can preserve the memory of the best Batmobile ever with this amazing papercraft model you can build for yourself.

Papercraft Model of a V12 Engine

July 15, 2008 by Adam Jarvis Leave a Comment

“It took approximately two years to design this spectacular magical art for you to put together. This “V12 four-stroke Engine” has semi-realistic exterior and interior detail. Each of 12 spark plugs (LEDs) is ignited accordingly to the moving cycle. Many moveable parts include a compound crankshaft, a rapid cooling fan, 12 rods and 12 pistons etc. It is made with paper entirely (except some little wood sticks, some tapes, 12 LEDs, some electrical wires, 12 switches, a resistor, a motor and a battery holder). The instruction included in this kit is a CD-ROM (a PDF file)contains easy-to follow diagrams and step-by-step instructions with more than a thousand detailed nice and clear pictures. All patterns are printed on high quality acid-free heavy paper, which can last for many years and will not turn brittle and yellow or fades with age. No paint applied. It looks pure and elegant. Various shadows created by different light sources make it look stunning. The origami-reinforced structure is applied in the engine (they will not be seen). The origami-reinforced structures make the model very rigid and keep the pieces in the accurate positions.

A print-it-yourself version is also available. It is an identical kit as above mention except no paper (printed patterns) provided. It comes with a PDF file contains all patterns. You do the printing.
Both kits can be handcrafted with white glue and sharp knife etc.”

Take a look at this extraordinary gallery.
