One of my all time favourite movies is “First Blood” (Starring Sir Sylvester Stallone). This movie was such a smash that it spawned 3 more (all dreadful and violent war flicks). Once again, Hollywood took something that was good and beat it into the ground until it became a pop culture joke.
Unlike the Rambo movies that followed it, first blood was an action adventure movie that turned the focus on the veterans who returned from Vietnam. It’s one man against the odds and has a very powerful ending.
