New Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar Teasers (Video)

The Walt Disney Company revealed a massive slate of new projects from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and more on its platform Disney Plus as well. While other large entertainment brands are fumbling to adapt, Disney drops a long list of movies all of us would like to see right now. This creates something that most content providers struggle with – anticipation.

Here are some of the upcoming movies in development that were announced at Disney’s end-of-year investor day.

Star Wars – Episode VII – The Force Awakens – Teaser Trailer

The highly anticipated trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (also known as Episode VII) just debuted online, offering the first official look at some of the big characters and exotic places we’re going to see when the J.J. Abrams-directed film bows next year. Picking up thirty years after Return of the Jedi left off, The Force Awakens brings back original stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher, though it falls to new additions like John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver to lead the series into the future (even if that future takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far away). This teaser runs a mere 88 seconds, but as a tasty little morsel of Force-related goodness, who can quibble? Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be out December 18, 2015.

The Clone Wars is finally coming to a close. Making way for Star Wars Rebels.
On March 7th on Netflix we’ll see some of the untold stories from the Star Wars Universe conclude along with a diverse range of characters – new and old.

Season 6 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, marketed under the name The Lost Missions, is the final season of the television series, scheduled to be released on Netflix on March 7, 2014. It was initially planned to air on Cartoon Network until March of 2013 when it was announced that Disney had cancelled the series. It was first officially announced by Dave Filoni in the Star Wars Insider magazine, though head writer Christian Taylor stated in September 2011 that they had already written through Season Six.

When I was a kid…

– Star Wars was it. All of my friends were into collecting these awesome toys. Like it or not, it sent me on a path towards “creative endeavours”. So you could image my delight when this group of photos came to our attention via (and I’m not making this up) Darth Ray.
A mixture of product photography and a few candid black and white snapshots of the inner workings of the Kenner Toy Factory. And as every kid knows, Kenner made the toys for the Star Wars Franchise.
